"Barney Bellinger is a self-taught artist and designer who's passionate relationship with the Adirondack wilderness has influenced and inspired his extraordinary body-of- work throughout the last 25 years. Bushwhacking the backwoods, forging for mushrooms and fly fishing the streams, Barney's life is framed with vintage bamboo fly rods and furniture transformed from twist of burl.
He creates intricate designs that require a mastery of bespoke artisanal effects and hand-craftsmanship. His work represents an uncompromising commitment to vintage, industrial and abstract rustic form. Barney uses his artistic voice to raise awareness and respect for our fragile environment and wildlife.
Nature provides the basis for understanding Barney's vision and its influence on his life. He says, “I do not paint to please critics, but rather to record my travels. Painting for me is a privilege.”
Mr. Bellinger has been exhibited at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Adirondack Museum and appears in the permanent collections of the Orvis Company and the Smithsonian Institution. His work is also widely sought after and collected privately." Artist's bio from normalschoefiled.com.

Working primarily with mixed media on wood, artist and teacher Wendy Cross has been able to contribute her take on land and seascapes through her on-going practice.
Cross, who was born in Maryland and has lived throughout the continental United States, is strongly influenced by American photographer Ansel Adams, as she began her own career as a photographer and archival printer. Her grandmother Elzene Sardino nurtured her passion for painting as she was a talented artist in her own right. Cross’ style of impressionism mixed with realism in her contemporary works reflects the influence of both artists.
Cross received her BFA from SUNY Oswego in 1994 and has enjoyed her tenure as a Fine Arts teacher In Arizona, Michigan and New York. Her work has been shown at the Everson Museum in Syracuse as well galleries in Michigan and New Jersey. She has taught art and photography for over 20 years at every level from children to adults.
Her time spent teaching at the Tupper Lake School District and Tupper Arts Center has been filled with beautiful and creative memories. “Fair Winds and Following Seas” is her way of saying thank you and farewell to her beloved students and the generous community of Tupper Lake as she continues her career as a teaching artist in San Diego, California.

"Deborah Geurtze is an artist/printmaker whose intricate etchings and monotypes reflect her deep connection with nature, a force that directs both her life and her work. In describing her work, the artist notes, "Wilderness – its patterns and complexity – are a continual source of inspiration. My panoramas explore the ever changing natural world and give expression to themes of passage –from dark to light, along a country road, from man-made to overgrown, chaotic splendor."
Deborah Geurtze attended Rhode Island School of Design and studied printmaking with Robert Bero at the State University College of Potsdam, N.Y.
After teaching abroad at the American school of Tangier, Morocco, and at Vail (Co.) Mountain School, she returned to upstate New York, and established her studio in an historic 1838 Greek revival "mansion", where she worked for 25 years. In 2011 Deborah moved to Rocky Neck." Born in Hollywood, Calif., Kirmer was one of six children of a butcher and stay-at-home mom. He attended Hollywood High School just a few years ahead of Carol Burnett. Kirmer’s formative years were dusted by “Tinsel Town” during Hollywood’s “Golden Age.” After serving in the U.S. Army, Kirmer parlayed his G.I. Bill into a bachelor’s degree in art from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.
His teachers included Sabro Hasagawa, Jason Schoener and Richard Dieberkorn. He relocated East to pursue art in New York City. He was an art teacher at Baldwin School for 30 years. He first came to this neck of the woods to teach art at the Baldwin School Camp mid-century in Keene Valley. This was when he adopted Johns Brook as his lifelong study, coming to the Adirondacks each summer for 1964 until 1989 to develop his own personal art work." Artist's bio from keenearts.com.
