    Michael Northrop

An Inspirational Memoir by a Person with a Traumatic Brain Injury

"My name is Micael Northrop. I have lived locally since 2001. I have overcome numerous obstacles in my life, including severe asthma, a brain injury, vision loss due to ocular tuberculosis, depression, a cerebral aneurysm, and a stroke. Through it all, I earned a degree from Syracuse University, advocated my way out of assisted living, published my memoir (My Escape from a Padded Cell). I have been married to my miracle wife almost eleven years. We currently live in Lake Placid with out dog. I hope that my story inspires you not to let obstacles slow you down on your path to success."
