The Group of Seven

Dr William Tortolano will give a multi-media presentation on the subject of the Group of Seven, an early 20th century group of influential Canadian painters.
Inspired by Thom Thomson, Canada's unique artists felt that Canadians would recognize themselves if they saw the beauty of their landscape. Dr. Tortolano, professor emeritus from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT, presents their works with slides, video clips and commentary.

An hour and a half lecture and demonstration at the piano on the development of classical music from the medieval period to the present by Dr. Harold Rosenbaum.
Recognized among the premier interpreters of choral music, Dr. Rosenbaum is the founder of The New York Virtuoso Singers (“New York’s outstanding concert choir” - NY Times). He has conducted at Tanglewood, Juilliard, and in every major NYC hall. Read more about him at haroldrosenbaum.com.
