2022 Tupper Arts Gallery Shows
Welcome to the Tupper Arts Gallery. We are very pleased to present you our 2022 exhibits featuring the work of talented artists within the Tupper Lake and surrounding communities.
All Gallery Shows are FREE and open to the public.

MAY 2022
Thru the Lens of Kathleen Bigrow: “Mostly Spruce & Hemlock; Tupper Lake’s Logging Heritage”

Tupper Arts is thrilled to once again feature the historic works of Adirondack Daily Enterprise, and Tupper Lake Free Press photographer Kathleen Bigrow. This year, the photographs will illustrate Tupper Lake’s long history in the logging industry, which helped put our small community on the map. Over 100 images will be on display, along with many related artifacts generously loaned to us by the Tupper Lake History Museum. The gallery will be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

JUNE 2022
49th Annual Tupper Lake Arts Show

Saturday, June 4, 4 - 7 p.m.
For the 49th year in a row, Tupper Arts is happy to host the Annual Tupper Lake Arts Show, featuring the work of artists in and around the Tupper Lake Community! Everything between woodworking, textile arts, sculptures, and paintings will be featured in our gallery, and most everything will be for sale. Make sure to stop by Wednesday - Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. to celebrate the long tradition of artistry in Tupper Lake!

Under Adirondack Skies

“Under Adirondack Skies,” which features the work of Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism Videographer Eric Adsit, will be lighting up the Tupper Arts gallery space this June! Eric’s photography shows the majesty of the Adirondacks as seen through his camera lens, and a selection of his work will be available for viewing Wednesday - Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Visit www.adsitmediaworks.com to see more of Eric’s work.

Home in the Adirondaks:
Paddling Perspectives
This July, Patrick McPhee and Patricia Bellerose will be making a temporary home for their works in the Tupper Arts gallery. Patrick, who was a two-year First Place finalist in the Tupper Lake Plein Air Festival, has mastered the art of bringing the wilderness of the Adirondacks to life.
Patricia, who has also been featured previously in our gallery with the TL Plein Air Festival, beautifully creates a sense of movement in her subjects by manipulating the light and texture in her works.

Whimsical Twigs & Bark Creations
The Tupper Art Center is honored to display the works of Mike Campisi who specialized in designs for the home made of repurposed tables, cabinets, lamps, jewelry boxes and much more. Please join us in celebrating his life and love of the Adirondacks this July.

The Elusive Wild Sculptures & Paintings

Adirondack Artist PJ LaBarge is drawn to the untamed wild of the Adirondacks, and through her long career, has managed to capture the natural life that lives around us. This August, visit the Tupper Arts Center to experience her mastery in bronze sculptures and painted works. Wood-En-Lightened: Sculpture, Furniture, Light, and Video

Tupper Arts is happy to welcome artist Tyler Schrader to our gallery for the month of August, and to feature his beautiful woodworking, marking the future of this artistic medium. With the use of sound, light, gems, and video, Tyler has taken his woodworking to a whole new immersive level, giving his creations life.

Tupper Lake Plein Air Festival

Brunch with the Artists:
Sunday, October 8, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
For the fourth year in a row, Tupper Arts is excited to welcome plein air artists back to the Tupper Lake region to paint the beautiful vistas that our town has to offer. The festival takes place over the course of four days, during which painters will be able to venture through the town and the surrounding woods, and will conclude with a gallery and sale at the Tupper Arts Center.
