Executive Director

Tupper Arts, Inc. is seeking an experienced, community-minded Executive Director to lead our multi-disciplinary arts center in the heart of the Adirondacks. This is a rare opportunity to shape the cultural life of a small rural region — overseeing a vibrant visual and performing arts program.

Position Overview

The Executive Director provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors to advance Tupper Arts' mission. The ED oversees a small but dedicated team, and serves as the organization's chief representative to donors, community partners, and the public. This new position will take a lead role in the oversight of a major renovation of a theater, including management of state and private grants.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit management, arts administration, or a related field

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and/or donor relations

  • Experience managing staff and volunteers

  • Strong financial literacy, including budget development and oversight

  • Excellent communication and community-relationship-building skills, including website and social media management

  • Passion for the arts and commitment to rural/small-community cultural life

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

  • Schedule: Full time

  • Benefits: Vacation/sick leave
