Know Before You Go

Click the headings below to explore our local tips and logistical details, and get ready for a season of unforgettable music on the water.

  • We recommend bringing a comfortable lawn chair or a picnic blanket, as seating at the bandshell is open lawn space. Feel free to pack a cooler with snacks and beverages of your choice. Don't forget the bug spray for those beautiful Adirondack evenings!

  • Absolutely! We highly encourage you to make a night of it. You are more than welcome to bring along a picnic basket, your favorite snacks, and a cooler full of refreshing drinks to enjoy during the performance.

To help us keep Flanders Park beautiful and pristine for everyone, we just ask that you please pack out whatever you pack in and utilize the park's trash and recycling bins.

    • Tip: If you don't feel like packing a basket, it’s a great opportunity to grab some takeout from one of our fantastic local Tupper Lake restaurants and enjoy it right by the water!

  • Our concerts generally run rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, we may move the performance to an indoor location or reschedule. Check our Facebook page or the top of this website for real-time updates on the day of the show.

  • Free parking is available along the street and in the public lots adjacent to Flanders Park. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with paved pathways leading toward the viewing area.

  • Absolutely! The Sunset Series is a family-favorite tradition. There is plenty of room for kids to dance on the grass, and the nearby playground at Flanders Park is a great spot for them to burn off energy before the music starts.

  • Well-behaved, leashed dogs are more than welcome to join you on the lawn! We just ask that you keep them close to your seating area and, of course, please clean up after them to keep the park beautiful for everyone.

  • Experience the music from a different perspective by arriving via the Raquette River. The Tupper Lake Bandshell is perfectly situated so that sound carries beautifully across the water, making it easy to enjoy the show right from your boat. You can tie up at the public docks at Flanders Park or anchor nearby in the bay for a front-row seat to both the music and the sunset. Just a reminder to bring your navigation lights for a safe trip back after the performance!

  • Admission is 100% free. We believe everyone should have access to great music on the water! If you enjoy the series and want to help us keep it running all summer long, please consider making a voluntary donation. Every little bit helps support local arts and artists.

  • No tickets required! All of our concerts are completely free and open to the public—just show up, find a spot on the lawn, and enjoy the music.

While admission is 100% free, Tupper Arts is a non-profit organization that relies on community support to keep these events running all summer long. If you'd like to support the series, voluntary donations are always incredibly appreciated!
