Originally scheduled to be performed live at the Arts Center in May, this virtual event explores the life and music of a towering figure who had strong ties to the Adirondacks! A lecture on "forgotten" American Operetta King Victor Herbert, with music performed by High Peaks Opera artists George, Elizabeth, and Annachristi Cordes, features lecturer Parmelee Tolkan, president of the Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society. This virtual event is a co-production of the Historical Society, HPO, and Tupper Arts, with donations to go to Tupper Arts and the Historical Society.
